- When feeling down or stressed, try to avoid drinking.
If you do drink, make sure that it doesn’t become your way of dealing with tough times. It won’t work and you’ll end up feeling worse.
- If you are feeling depressed, miserable or hopeless, make sure you get help, not drunk.
Talk to someone. There is help to be found from family, friends, your GP, helplines or the mental health services. Even if you can’t change a situation, you can deal with in the way that’s best for you.
